African Belief: Music and Dance are Twins

"If you can talk, you can sing. If you can walk, you can dance!" Dr. Akombo exhaulted workshop participants with passion. There is always dance when someone is playing music. There is always music when someone is dancing. Africans believe that the two are intertwined and considered as twins. "There are no audiences when we perform." Really?, I thought. Dr. Akombo continued, "Because in our culture, everyone participates."
