NVEST In Your Future: Project Successful with Help from FNVMS and Kaiser High Tennis Team!

Yesterday's downpour brought 1.9" of rain between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on our campus (per On Line Weather Center at NVMS). The rain gauge located further in Niu Valley measured 3". Such rain would have caused soil erosion from the overflow parking lot, and deposit mud on the sidewalk. Last year, that triggered a complaint against me through the City inspector. My son got into problem solving mode and converted his NVEST project into one for erosion control. He laid down 20 sand bags, removed the mud from the sidewalk, and spread gravel into the gouged areas. Last weekend, the FNVMS Mini-Campus Beautification Workday Team assigned the Kaiser High School Tennis team to the sandbag area, which was damaged by vandals. They rebagged the damaged ones, reshaped the project, and cleared the strewn sand. In spite of the drenching, there was NO MUD on the sidewalk! Thank you, Micah, FNVMS and the Kaiser Cougar Tennis Team!
