Under intermittant showers and scorching sun, approximately a hundred volunteers stepped up to the plate to serve our school. Led by FNVMS parent Mr. Paul Bernstein and NVMS Science Teacher Mr. Clyde Kobashigawa, the following projects were completed: Sidewalk drop-off remediation: Buildings A and B. Erosion Control: Overflow parking lot. Hedge planting: Building C. Mulch spreading. Topsoil spreading. Air Layering. Weeding. Trimming. Tree Removal and native tree planting. Ornamental planting at marquee, school entrance, and around NFL trees. These should "take" and grow by the IB Evaluation Team visit. Mahalo Nui to: Koko Head Lions, FNVMS, students, teachers and administrators. Your tremendous work ethic was appreciated.
