Young Einstein Night

Submitted by Mrs. Brown...The 10th Annual Young Einstein's Night was held at the Niu Valley Middle School cafeteria on Friday, April 21, 2017.  This is an invitation-only event in which participants from each grade level are asked to share their current work in science and technology. 

The Science Department would like to extend their gratitude to Mr. Derrick Tsuruda, Mr. Andrew Szkotak, Mr. Bryson Chun, Mr. Wayne Fanning, Mr. Corey Sumida, Mrs. Gwen Lee, and Mrs. Joanne Imada for attending the evening's science and technology exhibition.  We would especially like to send our sincere appreciation for the support received from the Friends of Niu Valley Middle School for sponsoring the evening's festivities.

All student athletes from Cross Country, Volleyball, and Basketball...Please return your uniforms to Ms. Reeves (Room F1B).  You may drop off in the office or bring it to her classroom.  Make sure it's labeled with your name on it.

NVMS Arts Faire

Save the date!!  NVMS Arts Faire will be on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1:00pm - 2:30pm.  Enjoy the works of our writers and artists on display as you stroll through our courtyard with the melodic sounds from our musicians filling the air.  A print-making station will be available.

Volunteer Request from Friends of Niu Valley

On Friday, April 28, 2017, Friends of Niu Valley will be hosting Niu Valley Middle School's Annual Staff Appreciation Event.  From 2:30pm to 3:30pm, our fabulous faculty and staff will be treated to a catered lunch, musical entertainment, and a small gift of appreciation.  If you've been looking for a way to get involved or show your gratitude to our hardworking staff, Friends of Niu Valley would love to have some parent help to manage this event (set up, clean up, and everything in between) and/or donations for gifts/giveaways.  For more information, please contact parent coordinator, Mai Ly Shultz at maistamps@gmail.com for more information.  Mahalo!

Hawaii State Science & Engineering Fair Results

From Mrs. Brown ~ The Niu Valley Middle School Science Department would like to congratulate the following students for their achievements at the 60th Annual Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.  We would also like to thank the students families, student scientist mentors, and staff at Niu Valley Middle School for their support of our students.  We are very proud of their accomplishments and know that we never do any of this alone.  Mahalo nui!
